When a person becomes a Christian it means that he allows Jesus Christ to come into his/her spirit and take up residence. Christian life is no less than Christ’s own life. A sinner is like a filthy cottage which has never been clean but once you accept Jesus into your life is like accepting an offer of a wonderfully generous spring-cleaner who is willing to come and put it right. We welcome Jesus in and He begins to clean things up. But sometimes Christians hinder Jesus from doing His cleaning job in our lives and we end up putting our own furniture in his way; we stir up the dust and refuse to let Him to clear up certain very muck heaps in our lives. But gradually, progressively, He cleans up the house/our lives. Without Christ you have nothing. But with Him you have the best of both worlds: this one and the one to come. Be blessed.
