Estadio Santiago Bernabéu
In Spanish, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium is referred to as Estadio Santiago Bernabéu and is located in Madrid, Spain. It has the second-largest seat capacity in Spain with a current capacity of 83,168 and has served as Real Madrid’s home stadium since its completion in 1947. One of the most well-known football stadiums in the world bears Santiago Bernabéu’s name (1895–1978), a legendary footballer and president of Real Madrid. The European Cup/UEFA Champions League final was held there four times: in 1957, 1969, 1980, and 2010.[Santiago Bernabéu is the first (and only) stadium to have hosted both the UEFA Champions League and the Copa Libertadores Finals, the two most significant major continental cup finals. Alfonso XII of Spain laid the first stone for la Almudena on April 4, 1883, officially starting construction. The architect Francisco de Cubas was in charge of the project and designed it.The Almudena Cathedral is Madrid’s most significant place of worship. The Royal Palace of Madrid (Spanish: Palacio Real de Madrid) is the formal residence of the Spanish royal family in Madrid, albeit it is now solely used for state functions. The palace has a floor area of 135,000 m2 (1,450,000 sq ft) and 3,418 rooms. It is Europe’s largest royal residence. The palace is now open to the public, save during state functions, however because it is so big, only a few rooms are on the visiting route at any given time, with the route changing every few months. There is an admission price; however, it is often free. The palace is owned by the Spanish state and is managed by the Patrimonio Nacional, a government body.
