TRUSTING GOD

Recently I have been writing articles about Trusting God, I don’t know why I have been doing this but I hope and pray this becomes useful to someone.

Trust means reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety etc of a person or thing; confidence.  In our walk with God we need to trust Him totally, even when things look impossible, we need to trust him 100% because He has good plans for our lives & future.

(John 13:7 Jesus replied, “You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand.”) What are you going through at the moment that you don’t realise is part of God’s plans for your life? Is God testing you in that situation? If He is, what are you learning? Is the experience making you bitter or making you better by causing you to draw closer to Him?

Examples of people in Bible that didn’t understand what God was doing are:

Mary & Martha

Mary & Martha were upset with Jesus because he didn’t come when they needed Him until their brother Lazarus died. (John 11:21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died) But Jesus did not want to give them excuses (like what some of us do). (John 11:40 Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”)

Abraham

When Abraham was asked by God to sacrifice his only son Isaac, he didn’t understand it but later on he witnessed God’s faithfulness when Isaac was restored to him.

Moses

Moses spent 40 years in the wilderness not realising that God was training & preparing him so that he could lead Israel to freedom.

Joseph

Joseph didn’t understand why his brothers mistreated/sold him or why he was imprisoned unfairly but later on God lifted him up and made him a governor who ended up saving the lives of his people during the famine.

God doesn’t expect you to understand but He does EXPECT you to TRUST HIM.

Hope you were blessed
