For the last few days I have been reading about vision and purpose and I would like to share it with you guys.
(Acts 26:19 Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision). Paul had a heavenly vision. (Thus says the LORD of hosts: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; they speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the LORD Jeremiah 23:16). You also need to be carefully because there those who speak a vision of their own heart. Be sure you’re operating according to God’s plan and not your own nor somebody else’s plan. Two things we learn from the story of the tower of Babel
· when people make up their mind to do something they often succeed
· The succeeding doesn’t mean that you’re in the will of God.
Others can think you’re right, yet you’re wrong. Your plans and goals should come out of a vision that God has given you. When God ordains He also sustains. When you know God has given you a vision for your life, you trust Him, even when you can’t see any way to bring it to pass. When God gives you a vision
· It will interrupt you. Sometimes God will speak in a voice you can’t tune out. Like Jonah, God will let you go to the bottom to get your attention, things won’t go right until you say yes to Him…. so don’t run away from your calling/purpose/vision.
· It will illuminate you. You may not like what God says, like Ananias, he didn’t like going to pray for Saul of Tarsus, a man with the power to put Christians to death. (Acts 9:15-16 But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel. For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake). “Suffer” the devil is going to send you a congratulatory telegram because you’ve decided to do God’s will, so be prepared for attack.
· It will inspire you. You will accomplish things you never dreamed possible. Like Gideon when God found him he was hiding in a winepress (Judges 6:11 Now the Angel of the LORD came and sat under the terebinth tree which was in Ophrah, whichbelonged to Joash the Abiezrite, while his son Gideon threshed wheat in the winepress, in order to hide it from the Midianites.)
The secret of victory lies in knowing it is God working in you (Pilippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure).
