Willibrod Slaa, the leader of the opposition party, Chadema has demanded a rerun of Sunday’s presidential poll. Slaa said the results being announced by the electoral commission were different from those counted in the constituencies. But the commission head dismissed his concerns, saying there may be minor irregularities, but not enough to change the final result. Correspondents say current President Jakaya Kikwete is expected to win the presidential poll, although Mr Slaa has mounted a stronger challenge than previous opposition leaders. Mr Kikwete has been credited with boosting the nation's economy, but his opponents say he has failed to tackle widespread poverty. Meanwhile Ali Mohamed Shein is the president of Zanzibar. The big question is why are African poll results too slow???? Or are they trying to find away to fiddle with the results? I guess it’s time for Tanzania to accept change and CCM party should give a chance to other opposition parties to lead the country. This is just insane, people voted on Sunday up to now no one knows what’s going on…. sigh I hate politics
