Finalists for the show I attended

Here is a review of what I thought about Top Model of Colour (TMC) competition. The show started just after 8pm with the MC welcoming everyone to the show and going through a list of sponsors who sponsored the show. The DJ was all over the place, as when the MC was talking the DJ  was busy playing music.

I wasn’t too impressed with some of the questions the judges were asking, at one point one of the judge asked one of the contestant, if the hair she was wearing was has, bearing in mind that the judge had a weave on… cough cough. Judges also picked on some of the contestants for covering up (she was wearing a swim wear with a short sarong around her waist), and was told she wasn’t too comfortable with her body while some contestants who wore nothing like a swim wear were not told off for doing so.

Some contestants were asked a lot of questions while others were only asked a couple of questions. Apart from that the judges were very fair as they put through 9 people out of 12 from that slot, in total 22 models will take part in the final competition in November. The contestants did not have to be models to take part in this competition as it was open to anyone who thought she could be a model and has the height and the looks.

While the MC was interviewing last year’s runner up the microphone went dead, so he had to shout throughout the show. There weren’t as many people as I expected it, but overall it was a good and relaxing atmosphere since it wasn’t too crowded. The drinks were really cheap at least the ones I bought since I don’t drink alcohol.
