Judges 6:13 And Gideon said unto him, Oh my Lord, if the LORD be with us, why then is all this befallen us? and where be all his miracles which our fathers told us of, saying,… One thing that I have learned about God is that His purposes are revealed and His power displayed, in our darkest experiences. Like Gideon you may be asking, If the Lord is with me, why has this happened? When all does not make sense, God’s promise I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel (Isaiah 45:3) Be encouraged God is working, even though you can’t see Him. How can God give us songs in the night if the sun always shines? (Job 35: 10 But none saith, Where is God my maker, who giveth songs in the night). Jesus said What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops Matthew 10:27. It’s in life’s dark places that God shares things which strengthen us, and encourages those around us. |
