Libyans are celebrating after Gaddafi was captured and killed. I know he has done a lot of bad things to the people of Libya, but this news is really shocking. It was confirmed today that ‘Muammar Gaddafi has been killed after Libyan rebels captured his stronghold in the city of Sirte’.Gaddafi was dragged from a large storm-water drain where he was hiding before being shot in front of a baying mob. Apparently he was begging for mercy from the rebels, he pleaded ‘don’t shoot; don’t shoot’ as he attempted to surrender. So now that Gaddafi is dead what is next for Libya? I’m sure there’s a lot of people/nations who want to help rebuild Libya in return of oil. Hope Libya doesn’t end up like Iraq. For more Gaddafi news click here. |
