Branding is one sure way to stand out from amongst the crowd and give your business that uniqueness that it deserves.
First make sure that the name you choose not only stands out but that it resonates with your prospective customers. Remember that this name will be used across all boards (products/services, websites, blogs, social media etc.). You do not want to regret using a particular name at the end of the day. In selecting a name, keep it short, simple and easily memorable.
Secondly let your brand be focused in communicating what it is your business offers. There should be no room for confusion. Everything that makes up your brand is your name, logo, business' promise, offerings, customer service etc. and so your brand should reflect all of this. Next up practice consistency in branding, this means that all of your printed communications and sales materials should look, feel and sound like they come from the same source.
Your business' message should repeatedly emphasise your unique selling point (USP) to the point that whatever statements, slogans or taglines you decide to use is catchy and memorable.
Overall, your brand must be true in everything, should reflect your business' voice, set you apart from the competition and appeal to your target audience.
